This course exceeded my expectations. The presenter and the matertials provided a very good introduction to the subject area.

It would have been a bit easier to follow if an example could have been provided from the 'Health' workspace. And only one example to follow all the way through the steps.

While I was satisfied with the overall training, I think it was unprofessional for the facilitator to use his mobile phone throughout the course. He told us that he was responding to his boss. It was more than one occasion that he used his phone during the training session. For what it's worth, I have never seen any facilitator using their mobile phone during training session. This is not my first time attending a course held by Tanner James, I couldn't fault the quality of the training and the knowledge of the trainers, but I hope you find this feedback helpful.

The only negative about the room was the air conditioning. It was really hot and stuffy.

While I found the course very useful and the presenter very good, I have two suggestions: 1. I felt the course was strongly focused on passing an exam, rather than building an understanding of how to apply the theory. This may be the distinction between Foundation and Practitioner Levels, but I found that I spent a lot of my time just memorising lists of things which strikes me as a very outdated method of learning. 2. I would have preferred the course to use a fictional project as the basis for all of the team activities, rather than each group nominating something from their own office. As we all came from different work areas, there wasn't any shared projects we could use so the project was essentially fictional for each team, except for the person who nominated it. Using the same fictional project across all teams would have given an opportunity to see how other teams had approached the same problem - and how different solutions were developed, or different ideas canvassed. Overall though, very good course. Thanks

Thank you for facilitating the course. Have the Certificates to successful participants been issued?

You might consider a 'cut-down' version of the course (say two days) targeted at experienced project managers who are updating to Prince 2

The instructor Jerry, provided an in depth and thourough course. His knowledge on the suject was outstanding. The course materials were presented in a quality format, which assisted greatly successful completion of the course.

I found many of the exam questions very obtuse and am not sure that they were a good way to measure comprehension. From the presenter's delivery of the course materials I felt confident of the purpose and intent behind Prince2, however some of the exam questions (30%) seemed more to test exact recollection of wording rather than comprehension.

The course cover the necessary topics. As usual with a course of this nature, there is a fine line between covering everything in great detail versus the time allocated to the course. This was done well in this course. While it would have been great to have more time to prepare, this has to be balanced against the time that would have needed to be taken out of work. All in all, a good solid course that covered what was required. The only thing could be to provide plastic tabs/post it notes as the paper ones tore easily.

Course material towards the end of the day was rushed and too condensed. After having spent a day absorbing large amounts of information, this was not necessary. Needs to be scheduled better.

It would be helpful to advise people that they can pick up Managing Succesful projects with Prince2 before the course starts. A lot of material is covered adn for the foundation course it might be better to hold the training over 4 rather than 3 days.

Cancelling the catering without any notice to course attendees was extremely unprofessional. Your staff, although courteous, were unwilling to entertain any idea of resolving the matter with us. Essentially our concerns fell on deaf ears. Tanner James is fortunate to have engaged Richard Aspden as his delivery of the course was so superb that it removed focus from an otherwise thoroughly off-putting experience with Tanner James. I would recommend Richard's training to anyone, but I will be actively discouraging people from doing business with Tanner James.

I believe the syndicate exercises should have example projects instead of relying on individuals in the course.

Having a different person come in to administer the test didn't work well in this case as there was a lot of confusion. It would be better to have the facilitator do the whole process or have the person administer the test be a specialist.

I like how we had time through out the course to apply the knowledge to our organisation which helped reinforce the material

Facilitator Ash wasn't the best presenter. Whist the content was good, he didn't make the course exciting. Also, the Tanner James handbook/course notes were pretty bad. Jumped around everywhere. It added no value to the textbook.

The trainer really new his stuff but often went away from the slides and interpreted the information material himself. I would have preferred him to go through the slides which are set out in basic English AND THEN elaborated on each point or comment. A times it got confusing when he went away from the material stated on the slides. I personally prefer getting the simple information first, and then the detailed explanation. Overall a great course though.

A number of the charts, tables etc in the course materials 9and overheads) were far to small a font to use - suggest using a whole page format for these slides. In the exam, one person finished early and was very noisy when leaving the room, i.e. packing up their gear. It would be helpful if the convenor could ask that folk leave quietly - or leave and come back later to pack up their gear.

I believe that having some simulated programs to apply the theory to during the course would benefit the attendees as it will allow the presenter to provide feedback as to wether we are on the right track (I found it hard to apply our own program to the theory when the presenter didn't know much about our program and could only tell us if it "sounded" like we were on the right track.

I think it was too intensive for just 3.5 days and there wasn't enough time to review and/or learn what we were taught the morning of the exam. I think the exam should be held a week after the course to allow revision and for it all to be "learnt".

The number of Processes should be numbered, i.e. there are seven Processes. Figure 11.1 should be used at the beginning of the training course as well at at the end; and the Project Plan, Project Brief and Business Case and the various management strategies (e.g. Risk mtg strategy) should be included in Figure 11.1 by having arrows pointing to the various processes that include these documents. If suggestion adopted it would make it so much clearer on where the training course is heading and help the student understand where everything fits in.

The presenter was very nice and patient however, I must admit that at times it was very hard to stay focused due to the monotonous tone of his voice. Other than that he had very strong knowledge of Prince 2 and was always willing to further explain any aspects of the course that we did not understand.

The slide printouts in the handouts are too small to read and they don't always match the course notes so being able to read them would be good. Material was dry but Gerry did a good job presenting regardless. I wish I had done this course a few years earlier as it will really help me with my work. During long days a quick group activity / brainstorm can help refresh participants who are flagging.

Gerry Vassallo was my trainer. His knowledge of project management was fantastic, he was able to explain all aspects very clearly and give appropriate examples. I found the course to be very well planned out each day, covering just enough to not be overwhelmed each day. I would look to Tanner James first for any further training.
