Our website allows people and companies to search for specific training vendors and courses, and share information about those training services; or to create new content about those services by posting customer reviews or client references. Our visitors are also able connect with training vendors and request further information about their training courses and training services.

To make sure that reviews are independent, and contain suitable language we have created the User guidelines. All users are able to choose whether or not they want their reviews and client references to be posted anonymously or not.
Training vendors benefit from you reviews and client references as it helps them market their training courses and services, whilst enabling them to identify areas where they are doing well, or where they need to address improvement.

When you write a review or a client reference about a training provider, we collect the information you state in the review or client reference, including the providers you review, which course the review concerns, and how you evaluate various aspects of the course.

Course Conductor enables users to register on the Website using the standard LinkedIn API. This enables us to provide you with much better personalised service by using some of the standard information about you that is automatically collected from your LinkedIn account. The information collected from LinkedIn depends on what information you have made available on the network and your privacy settings for sharing such information on the network. The purpose of collecting information from LinkedIn and other Social Networks is to enable us to personalise your experience, to help you promote your skills to your network, to help you help other professionals find the best courses and ultimately to raise the standards of the global professional training industry. Using your LinkedIn information ultimately increases the confidence of your review as well as create a better user experience on the Website.

We also keep track of your training, search preferences and analyze that information. We may use Personal Information for fulfilling requests for services available on the Website or for other purposes, such as to enter you into a contest, speed-up the process of registering for a subsequent course, or responding by e-mail to an inquiry that you posted on-line. Your Personal Information may also be used by us to contact you regarding other products or services which may be of interest to you (including those that training providers may offer) and for training provider customer appreciation programs. Your Personal Information may be combined with other Personal Information collected by us to provide aggregate statistical information about users’ service usage preferences. Your Personal Information may be passed on to a third party in the event of a transfer of ownership or assets, or a bankruptcy, of Course Conductor or any of its affiliates or distributors. Course Conductor or any of its affiliates or distributors may also disclose your Personal Information to one or more of their respective subsidiary and parent companies and businesses, and other affiliated legal entities and businesses who are under common corporate control.

However, all of the parent, subsidiary and affiliated legal entities and businesses of Course Conductor that receive your Personal Information will comply with the terms of this privacy policy with respect to their use and disclosure of such Personal Information. Course Conductor itself assumes no responsibility or liability for the privacy practices of training providers in their handling of your Personal Information they collect from you online or offline.

5. Sharing of Personal Information

When you write a review of a course and choose to display your LinkedIn information with that review your name, LinkedIn profile photo and URL to your LinkedIn profile will be available for other users of the Website. If you have submitted your review anonymously your LinkedIn information will be replaced with the word Verified Review and your information will not be visible to any user of the Website.

When you make a contribution to the Website your approximate city location (based on your computer’s IP address, or based on location data provided by your mobile phone or other device) is made available to us.
By connecting with LinkedIn, information such as your profile photo, your name, year of birth and approximate location will be collected from your profile on the Social Network and used to identify you on the Website. Consequently, all users of the Website will, subject to information available from the Social Network, be able to identify the reviews created by you if you so wish.

If your contacts or your contact’s contacts (jointly referred to as “Connections”) on LinkedIn also have connected with the Website, we may display on the Website how you are connected to these Connections through the Social Network. Your Personal Information has been collected by us in connection with reviews posted by you of the products or services of the training providers, and for the other uses described in the “Why We Collect Personal Information” section above. By providing your personal information to us, you are consenting to us analyzing such data and incorporating it into anonymized statistical information that we may include into various trend analysis reports, that may be provided to organizations such as Providers, Accrediting Bodies, Companies or otherwise.

We obtain your consent to use your data.

Express consent is given when we specifically ask you if it acceptable to you that we gather certain information and you explicitly agree that it is. As we obtain only the information necessary to assist you with the provision of review on the Website, or sending you a Trusted Training Radar Report, or newsletter, we operate under the understanding that you have agreed to provide us with this Personal Information voluntarily and with knowledge of this Policy whenever you do so.
