I very much appreciated the additional time that was added into the course to allow for Corporate discussion. If you are running MSP 'in house' in other organisations in future, I would highly recommend this model to allow for organic discussion.

It was a very good course and I am glad to have benefited from it. Ray did a very good job of covering the material and helping us to contextualise it in a practical way.

The only observation that I have, which I believe is a challenge to all Axelos training providers, is striking the balance between delivering the course syllabus and ensuring people are sufficiently prepped to pass the exam - noting that axelos exams take a bit of getting used to - as well as dedicating time to explore how the methodology is also practically applied, in this instance P3O. In future iterations, there may be benefit in working through the syllabus - from an academic perspective first, to effectively prep for the exam, then conduct the exam, and then have some dedicated time after the exam to discuss the 'real world' application of the methodology, including where possible, providing case studies, while leveraging the experiences of the trainer.

While the content presented was useful, and the instructor was very knowledgeable, the course itself was far too drawn out. One day would have been sufficient to cover the content required to pass the foundation exam and three days was very excessive.

The trainer was speaking relatively fast, and his voice was a bit low and soft, hard to compete with the air con in the room.

Consdering this was the first public 2017 PRINCE2 course and therefore required updated course notes/presentation/trainer skills I think it was very effective. Trainer was professional, had a calm manner and very eloquent.

Thank you, I enjoyed this course. The presenter and the students had good discussions. It was relevant to the work I'm doing and was worthwhile for the three days I took to do the training.

The course was focused too much on passing the exam. It should be about learning and gaining knowledge of a subject. Some people felt awkward about having their marks heard in class especially if they failed. People were too concerned about who passed and who didn't. The questions were too cryptic and not easy to answer. YOu had to spend too much time trying to understand the questions when you only have 40mins. I also think the last part of the course was rushed.

Overall I thought the course was run well. However, I believe that more could be done during the foundation course in terms of scene setting - It would have been helpful if the A3 page outlining the PRINCE2 processes and outputs from the different project stages was a starting basis for understanding PRINCE2. This made it easier to visualise PRINCE2 as a holistic method. While I appreciate that breaking it up into separate parts makes it easier to learn the concept, it made it harder to see the relationship between individual components.

Good pace and the opportunity to apply course material against actual case studies was a considerable advantage and helped create discussion in the group, and context in the course material.

The course was excellent! I really enjoyed it, and got a lot out of it. I’ve certainly left with improved skills and a solid understanding of the topic. The materials were also excellent and will be fantastic reference tools in the years to come.

For some portions of the course, the trainer just read through the slides. For those parts I would have learned better if reading it on my own - thinking about something just read was difficult because the trainer was reading the next bit; so I had no real opportunity to integrate the information.

Trainer indicated the exam would be very hard, and it was, but I believe both the curriculum and the delivery of the training could be improved to support exam success - Course concepts, whilst understandably not black and white, were not clearly articulated when students in the class raised questions. - Without studying the course materials I think I would have been very out of my depth in the exam, and no doubt we are all there to learn new skills, however it is very important in many organisations to be successful in completing these courses as well. - In all sessions, the group finished the 'timebox' early, in many instances more than 15 minutes early, the modules must be revised and professionalised, as well as thought applied to their ordering.

I thought the final practitioner's exam was quite poorly worded. Throughout the exam a given character was reffered to by name, by job title and also by project management position. I spend far too much time going back in the scenario descriptions and additional information to try remember who was who. It's a PM exam not a memory exam. Was quite frustrating.

In the sign up it is a bit misleading that it asks for dietary requirements, however no lunch is provided. Another attendee and I planned our week accordingly and did not buy enough food on the weekend to provide lunch for the whole week. Suggest deleting dietary requirements from sign up form. Secondly, the course facilitator went through all the aspects very quickly, which was required because there is so much detail in PRINCE2. It is good that he asked that people with English as a second language ask him to slow down if he speaks too quick. As a native english speaker I sometimes struggled to follow because he spoke too quickly.

I was not aware that I could get my course material (book) prior to the course. This would have been a big help for me as I was very time poor the week of the course. Might be good to ensure people are aware that is an option at the time the booking is confirmed.

The presenter was excellent, the only thing I would have liked would be the inclusion of some small quizes each day or every now and again to refresh what you have learnt and to prepare you for the language style of the final test. To me that would assist greatly in the learning curve. Cheers

My feedback is aimed at AXELOS and not Tanner James. The exam was more about being able to determine whether a shade of 80% grey was better than 90% grey and less about the application of knowledge. The exam was challenging but the selection of obscure or grey multiple choice options was more about finding exact references to the manual rather than the correct application of Prince2 Agile topics. Happy to discuss if you wish

I did the Prince2 training with Tren last year and I thought it was really useful and I felt completely prepared for the exam. This course was not as clear and I felt very confused the entire time. There was not as much time spent unpacking the example exercises and explaining the differences between the answers.

Thanks Ray! I came away still having difficulty gauging how to categorise outputs, capabilities, outcomes, benefits and objectives however appreciate it will be a matter of practice and application. It was beneficial being on the course with Angus who was able to provide examples using an interesting and Health related project. Regards, Chris

My response with "poor" is based on not being provided with any information about the course until approx 1 week before hand and was very high level at best. It was also not clear in the documentation provided that the exam was not part of the course and came with an additional $500. I realise the ATO arranged this course but at no stage was I aware that I wouldn't be sitting the exam. The timing of the last day was also not known until the start of the course - interstate travellers had arranged their travel around the advertised end time of 5pm resulting in significant time between the end time of 12pm and the flight time of 7.30pm. Perhaps this could have been advised in the course material so more appropriate plans could have been put in place. Other than that Ash was great and exceptionally patient.

While I was satisfied with the overall training, I think it was unprofessional for the facilitator to use his mobile phone throughout the course. He told us that he was responding to his boss. It was more than one occasion that he used his phone during the training session. For what it's worth, I have never seen any facilitator using their mobile phone during training session. This is not my first time attending a course held by Tanner James, I couldn't fault the quality of the training and the knowledge of the trainers, but I hope you find this feedback helpful.

The level of information and detail was significant in the training course to provide a thorough understanding of the PRINCE2 methodology. I enjoyed the course and this detailed level of information taught. However, if possible, I would have liked the details linked back to the main headings/sub headings a bit more often just to help reinforce the knowledge required at Exam level.

Faciliator (Tren) was excellent. The course material is required to be delivered at a very fast pace, which does, from time to time, make learning a little challenging. Having said that, Tren provided many opportunities to reflect back our learning/ ask questions which "compensated for" the speed.

I liked the approach during the 'foundation' phase of going through the slides quickly and then talking through the questions they raise to get a contextual appreciation for how to use the tools. This made the foundation course different to (and more valuable than) just reading the reference book. This was important as I was interested in being able to use the tools to do my job better first; getting the certificate for passing the exam was a relatively lesser concern (except for being useful in assuring people at work that something did stick during training). With the Practitioner exam the focus on exam preparation was appropriate as in this case it was all about getting the certificate. It was a bonus getting John Howarth for this part of the course (though David Bryant was fine too!).

I responded extremely well to: 1. The inclusion of coffee breaks with practical exercises, giving us more time for the exercise - it took the pressure off; and 2. Doing the sample exam papers. The more questions I answered, the more confident I became. Whilst there was a reduced amount of time after hours to review/study, answering the questions was more beneficial for me. Thank you
